Sláinte (slahn-cha) is an authentic Irish pub offering a menu of traditional Irish cooking and classic cocktails in the heart of Jack London Square. The menu features Irish cuisine from Irish-born Executive Chef, Jackie Gallanagh, with dishes that include both imported & local ingredients. Owner and Beverage Director, Jenny Schwarz, of Oakland’s popular restaurant, Hopscotch, offers a bar menu with classic cocktails, a well-stocked selection of whisky, premium spirits, and local & imported beers.

We hope you will know Sláinte as a place to call home, pull up a stool, sip on a pint, tell a long story, throw some darts, relax by the fire, and enjoy a home-cooked traditional Irish meal.

For musicians inquiring about playing at the pub, please note all music will be organic céili/session style so we will not be booking bands. We are trying to create an atmosphere where people can still have a conversation even when sessions are on so we will not allow amps, microphones, or anything too loud. If you have a fiddle, bodhran, banjo or guitar, feel free to come by and join in or play solo!
